Yup! I am Prego with Baby #2! With how long it took us to get prego with Luke we decided to start trying a littler earlier in case it took us a while again... but this time it took no time at all!
On June 28, 2012 I found out I was pregnant! I am not someone who can wait for answers so I usually go through a few pregnancy tests before they can even tell if I am pregnant so Scott told me not to take any until I had a good reason too but I didn't listen. While he was at work Luke and I made a trip to the store to get a test and to my surprise it was positive! I was shocked and so excited! I also felt a lot of gratitude to my Heavenly Father for blessing us with another baby and without the waiting process since I knew how it felt to wait and wait for Luke to arrive I was really hoping we wouldn't have to experience that with this little one. So Luke and I decided to run back out to the store to try and big a big brother shirt to put on Luke for when Scott got home from work to tell him the news. It took a lot for me not to just call Scott at work and tell him the good news but I made it to the end of the day and counted down the minutes for him to get home!
After playing with Luke for a few moments he finally realized what the shirt said and calmly asked me why I had already put him in a big brother shirt... we had talked about having him wear a shirt to tell our families when we did know we were prego and I responded with... "Thats not the response I was expecting" and he finally realized Luke was telling him the big news! His eyes lit up and he was so excited and definitely a little shocked!
We were heading to AZ that weekend to meet up with my parents, Brookie, and Ryan so we showed up with Luke in his shirt and it took them a while for them to read the shirt and were very surprised but excited of the big news! We text a picture of Luke in his shirt to Scotts side of the family and they too were excited!
The first Ultrasound on August 1, 2012 at 9 weeks looked great...
We are so excited and can not wait to meet this new little one!
