4th of July Weekend!
Friday I flew into Salt Lake where Scott met me to start our 4th of July weekend! My weekend started off with a great reminder of what this weekend was all about... while I was waiting for my ride to pick me up from the airport I was sitting in the baggage claim area playing on my laptop while people watching which is something I enjoy doing in crowded areas.... as always in the Salt Lake City Airport baggage claim area there are families waiting for the missionaries to come home but this time there was a large family of grandparents, parents and children all dressed in red, white, and blue all holding little American flags and holding signs. One of their family members was coming home from serving our country over seas. I got to talk with one of the parents of the man coming home and they said they had just found out that day he would be returning home. He was married to one of the women there and had a few kids. It was so neat to watch him come down the elevator and hear the family cheer and cry. The neatest part was when the rest of the people in the baggage claim realized what was going on everyone in the area started to clap and cheer. It was a very moving and touching experience to watch and to start off my weekend! I am very grateful for all those who have and are fighting for our freedom!
Saturday morning Scott, Scott's sister (Corinne), our friend Kim, and I hiked Mt. Timpanogos to their caves. It was a lot of fun and I highly recommend it!
Saturday night we enjoyed the fireworks in Provo with Corinne and her friends.
Sunday we got together with my moms family for a BBQ and Volleyball! It was a lot of fun to see everyone and catch up!

Catching up...
MARCH:
I turned 25! Scott and our friend Andy put on a surprise party for Ashley (Andy’s wife) and myself. Ashley is one of my favorites and we have realized we have a lot in common… name, birthday, tall, and blond… pretty funny! We had a great time visiting with friends!
(Sorry I realized we didn’t take any pictures)
APRIL:
We enjoyed Easter at home this year. Scott surprised me with a duck and Easter basket… what a cute hubby! I had a little something up my sleeve as well…. “Scotchmallows” I saw these at See’s and they had Scotts name written all over them! (If you don’t know Scott… HE LOVES Marshmallows!
In March we found out we were pregnant but at our first appointment (10 weeks prego) we found out the pregnancy was not developing a baby and we had a miscarriage. Before knowing it was a miscarriage we made a trip to CA to tell both our families as a surprise. They were very excited to hear the good news but a few weeks after we got home we got the bad news and had to take back our announcement. It was not easy news to hear after being so excited but we were very comforted and had a great group of friends and family who were a tremendous support through it all. For those of you who knew… Thanks for the prayers, calls, and messages! I am sure our time to be parents will come soon enough! Here are a few photos of our trip to California... it was a lot of fun being able to hang out with the families….
MAY:
Scottie turned 25! For Scott’s birthday we put on a Cinco De Mayo Party with a few friends, which was a blast! We even got a PiƱata, which the kids LOVED!
