Friday I flew into Salt Lake where Scott met me to start our 4th of July weekend! My weekend started off with a great reminder of what this weekend was all about... while I was waiting for my ride to pick me up from the airport I was sitting in the baggage claim area playing on my laptop while people watching which is something I enjoy doing in crowded areas.... as always in the Salt Lake City Airport baggage claim area there are families waiting for the missionaries to come home but this time there was a large family of grandparents, parents and children all dressed in red, white, and blue all holding little American flags and holding signs. One of their family members was coming home from serving our country over seas. I got to talk with one of the parents of the man coming home and they said they had just found out that day he would be returning home. He was married to one of the women there and had a few kids. It was so neat to watch him come down the elevator and hear the family cheer and cry. The neatest part was when the rest of the people in the baggage claim realized what was going on everyone in the area started to clap and cheer. It was a very moving and touching experience to watch and to start off my weekend! I am very grateful for all those who have and are fighting for our freedom!
Saturday morning Scott, Scott's sister (Corinne), our friend Kim, and I hiked Mt. Timpanogos to their caves. It was a lot of fun and I highly recommend it!
Saturday night we enjoyed the fireworks in Provo with Corinne and her friends.
Sunday we got together with my moms family for a BBQ and Volleyball! It was a lot of fun to see everyone and catch up!

What a fun way to celebrate the 4th! There is nothing better than a family BBQ. I love that picture of you eating the watermelon. Did you use photoshop? I love it!
