Congratulations Scott.... Go Knights!

Scott played soccer this semester and this past weekend they won the Soccer Championship game!!!! The playoffs were INTENSE! They Won the first game I think 3 to 0 on Friday and then Saturday they played at noon. The game was tied so they went into two 5 min overtimes and were still tied so they had to go into PK's they started with 5 PK's and were still tied so then its sudden death with the PK's... They went to 16 rounds before they finally won!!!! It was an awesome game!!! The team they were playing had horrible attitudes so we were very pleased to kick them out of the playoffs!

Scott played great and had a great time playing with his team this year! Here are a few shots of his games and the banquet!

There is a fire in IF and major winds today so our sky looks crazy.....

4th of July Weekend!

Last week I was in Carlsbad for work and while I was there I got to enjoy the Del Mar Fair one night.... Lonestar was performing so we got to enjoy their concert and walked through the fair a little.

Friday I flew into Salt Lake where Scott met me to start our 4th of July weekend! My weekend started off with a great reminder of what this weekend was all about... while I was waiting for my ride to pick me up from the airport I was sitting in the baggage claim area playing on my laptop while people watching which is something I enjoy doing in crowded areas.... as always in the Salt Lake City Airport baggage claim area there are families waiting for the missionaries to come home but this time there was a large family of grandparents, parents and children all dressed in red, white, and blue all holding little American flags and holding signs. One of their family members was coming home from serving our country over seas. I got to talk with one of the parents of the man coming home and they said they had just found out that day he would be returning home. He was married to one of the women there and had a few kids. It was so neat to watch him come down the elevator and hear the family cheer and cry. The neatest part was when the rest of the people in the baggage claim realized what was going on everyone in the area started to clap and cheer. It was a very moving and touching experience to watch and to start off my weekend! I am very grateful for all those who have and are fighting for our freedom!

Saturday morning Scott, Scott's sister (Corinne), our friend Kim, and I hiked Mt. Timpanogos to their caves. It was a lot of fun and I highly recommend it!

Saturday night we enjoyed the fireworks in Provo with Corinne and her friends.

Sunday we got together with my moms family for a BBQ and Volleyball! It was a lot of fun to see everyone and catch up!

The Zenger's
The Rogers (minus a few... we missed those who couldn't be there!!!)
The Price Family
We ended the night with a little volleyball under the fireworks!

Monday Scott and I had a little BBQ with Turkey Burgers, Watermelon and Corn... TOTALLY A SUMMER MEAL! We also busted out our Ice Cream Maker with our friends Chris and Linds! We have only used it once which was last Summer so hopefully this Summer we will get a little more use out of it!!!

I hope you had a great 4th of July weekend!!!
