Has it really been a year? Luke turned 1 last month! The
last year has gone by in a blink! We have felt so blessed to have him in our
life and part of our family!
At 1 years old Luke is in to everything, he is determined to
figure out how everything works, he loves clickers/remotes or anything with a
button on it, he loves to play with balls, cars, and books, he always finds
where the ceiling fan is in every room he enters and must find the remote to
turn it on, he also gets excited about every bird and dog he sees when we are
on our walks. At 1 years old Luke can walk, run, climb on to the couch, he can
open doors which makes life much more stressful, he can say mom, dad, bird,
ball, book, and he is repeating lots of words we say to him like grandma,
grandpa, more, morning, and he can sign bird, all done, and more. He gives
snuggles (hugs and kisses) he usually will only give them to his bear but when
we are lucky he will give us some hugs too, he gives high fives, and at 13 months
he just learned where his head and shoulders are. It is so fun to watch him
learn and grow as he gets older he is learning new things every day!
Luke doesn’t really look like a chunk but if you knew his
stats you would think he was….
12 month stats:
Weight- 29lbs 1 oz (over 95%)
Height- 32.5 in (over 95%)
Wearing Size- 2T
Luke can be a stinker at times… his new favorite thing to do
is find the oranges we have in the pantry, chew on them before I find him and
then run with it in his mouth as soon as I start to come take it from him. He
has no fear of the water and loves the pool, we have a little Baja step that he
loves to play on and he will try and run from one side to the other to try and
get out of my reach so he can jump into the deeper water. He is our little
stinker and we love everything about him!
It has definitely been a year of first for Luke and us! I wasn’t great at documenting pictures of him over the past
